Storyboard and Evaluation

Show below is what was originally sketch out for our storyboard. By filling all of our storyboards in with oil paints, it makes it clearer to see the kind of colour palette we were aiming for. Once we had created our trailer, we looked back on our original storyboards and it was clear to see how much our original idea had evolved through more influences such as locations, actors and professional film trailers. Our final trailer is much more non-linear, conforming to the typical conventions of a trailer, in comparison to what we had originally storyboarded, leaving the audience in more suspense and mystery as to what lead the characters to one point to another. Overall, I think that our new trailer is much more effective than we originally storyboarded as it conforms to more codes and conventions in the thriller/drama genre, but also its lack of information and gradual increase in tension have demonstrated to make audiences want to watch the whole film, as reported in our audience feedback.
